11/22 @ 8AM – GMR Turkey Day Shuttle Fest

Yup, it’s that time again. GMR has become a tradition for us, celebrating friendship before spending the rest of the day with family gorging ourselves.

What’s it all about?
Simple: we drive cars to the top of a mountain. We ride down. Repeat. (As many times as possible.)

Can a beginner do this?
Absolutely!

What about the hard core downhiller?
Yes, you too will enjoy the more advanced lines.

Can I show up late?
Yes! Get your stuff together and wait for us to come down the mountain. There’s sure to be somebody coming down the mountain at least every 30 minutes.

What do I need to bring?
A mountain bike: preferably with gears and shocks in good working order.

Average beginner time down the mountain is about 1 hour. More advanced people typically ride down in less than a half hour. Beginners typically do 2-3 runs down the main trail (approx 5.75 miles of almost entirely downhill) while more advanced riders will do 6 or more runs down various lines.

Will rain cancel this event?
No, absolutely not. We’ve done this in the rain before and will do it again if necessary.
