This ride begins at Turtle Rock Community Park with a ride up Bommer Canyon to the 73 and back which starts as a gentle grade, then turns into a steep grade during the last mile. The first leg of this trip is just over 7 miles with a bit over 600′ of climbing.
This is a great after-work route since Bommer Canyon closes sunset daily and the rest of this route is open at night. Bommer Canyon also connects to the top entrance of El Moro.
On this ride you get a nice blend of single tracks, some bike lane / bike path riding, and some fire roads with some fairly steep and some very steep climbs over various kinds of kinds of terrain. For an overall cardio workout and technical training, this is a GREAT place to ride.
