You really don’t need a map at Irvine Park. In fact it’s more fun to just pick a trail and go. Unless you jump a fence, head over the dam into Santiago Oaks, or head across the sandy river bottom that leads into the entrance to Santiago Oaks, it’s pretty hard to get completely lost.
NOTE: The trails within the woody / marshy area are seasonal. Most of the trails in that area are marked. As a good rule of thumb, stay on marked trails only.
Also note: public parking is no longer allowed at the Albertson’s shopping center. Park INSIDE Irvine Regional Park.
