Park at the paved end of Black Star Canon Rd in Silverado, CA. Your ride begins at the gate. This ride is suitable for anyone. Lesser experienced riders may have a hard time getting all the way to the top, but with practice each trip will be easier than the last. The route is 100% dirt fire road. It can be done at night. It should not be ridden during or recently after rain due to the clay-like soil composition of much of the ride. (Sticky mud.)
