Malibu Creek State Park

Home of the famous M.A.S.H. TV series filming site, Malibu Creek State Park has a little of everything: fire roads, single tracks, grasslands, cool rock formations, lakes, and some steep climbs.

The route shown here begins at the main Las Virgenes Rd. entrance. The big climb in this ride is almost 4 miles on Bulldog, where you’ll gain 1,800 feet of elevation in just under 4 miles.

Getting there:

From the Ventura Freeway (Hwy 101):
Exit Las Virgenes Rd. South
Continue approximately 3 miles, past Mulholland Drive.
Turn right into Malibu Creek State Park
If you hit Piuma Rd., you’ve gone too far…turn around and go back!

From Pacific Coast Hwy:
Go North on Malibu Canyon (directly south of Pepperdine University).
Continue approximately 5 miles, past Piuma Rd.
Turn left into Malibu Creek State Park
If you hit Mulholland Dr., you’ve gone too far…turn around and go back!

Parking at Malibu Creek State Park is $12 if you don’t have a State parking pass.
FREE PARKING is available OUTSIDE THE PARK as follows:
Corners of Las Virgenes Road and Mulholland Highway: You may park on three corners of Las Virgenes Road and Mulholland Highway, on the dirt. Parking on these corners is “head-in-parking”. Please note there are some NO PARKING SIGNS posted in some sections here.
